Opening Routine

Attendance, announcements

Each morning my class and I begin with the same opening routine. We begin by taking attendance, the lunch count, and any other announcements that are important. I always begin my attendance by greeting each student with “Good morning, and their name.” I think it is important to keep the same structure each day in the classroom. Students seem to succeed more when this is in place.

  1. Save the file to your desktop.
    PC USERS: Right-click the red link above, "save target as," and save the video to your desktop.
    MAC USERS: Option-click on the red link above, "save link as," and save the video to your desktop.
  2. Go to your desktop, where the file has been saved. Click on the file icon to play it in your standalone media player (either QuickTime or Windows Media player).
  3. As you view the file in the standalone media player, you will be
    able to view the times of the clip.     For offline viewing, use the windows media versions of the videos.
